Carne asada burrito mojado salsa roja, oh baby. Best burrito in this part of town.
The handmade quesadilla is so good! Very tender meat and the taste of the fresh corn tortilla! The service was fast you can dine in or dine outside the restaurant! I’d definitely come back. I asked for a corn quesadilla half asada and half chorizo! Try it it’s so good
I can’t believe what an incredible experience this place is the price is so reasonable. The food is so authentic and you no matter how much you eat is how full you are always have room for one more quesadilla Asada, my friend had the taco. It was excellent, but he had to back it up with the enchilada and tons of Mole sauce. You will see the garnish of beans and rice. It was very appropriate, but the entrée is mouthwatering, come by the business and show your love and they will gladly reward your taste buds
Tried this spot that was recommended by a co-worker. Went there to have tacos and ended up with pozole and carnitas taco . The location and restaurant does not have curb appeal, and there is a bit of an element in the small strip mall that this is located in. It took about 15 minutes to get our food, so if you're in a hurry, I'd recommend calling ahead. It's not that this place is crazy busy, so I am not sure why it took so long. The carnitas was mixed, it had buche (pork stomach) cueritos (fried pork skin) and meat, and came with onions and cilantro served on a fresh made corn tortilla . They had 2 options for salsa, green and red. The green was mild and the red was somewhat hot but IMO not too hot. The pozole was made with pork and hominy in a red soup. Condiments included onions, lime, avocado slices, tostadas (fried corn tortilla) and what threw me off was the lettuce instead of the cabbage that I normally get from other spots. Various coke products including Mexican coke. It was pretty pricey for the experience and food but then again it's located in downtown LA so I assume it's to pay the exorbitant rent they most likely pay. All in all the food was good and there were plenty of dishes offered. My buddy did say he felt like we were being served by our mom at home, so I guess that makes up for the lack of aesthetics.
Good food. Not a white tablecloth type of place. But the prices are fair, the food is good and fast. Lots of the basics, but has some good choices that you do not see often.
Had a pastor and a chorizo huaraches. Blew me away. Fantastic! They make their own chorizo, deep flavor, cooked crispy. Same with the pastor, small chunks of crispy pork, just slightly saucy. Everything is made to order so it takes a bit, but I was fine with that. The very definition of a hidden gem...I don't live in LA but I'll go back as often as possible when I'm here -- and bring as many people as I can with me.
